Gyeonggi-do Raises Sewol Ferry Memorial Flag... Wears Memorial Banners and Badges

Gyeonggi Province will operate a memorial period for one week from the 11th to the 17th of this month to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster.


For seven days, Gyeonggi Province will raise the Sewol Ferry memorial flag at the flagpoles of the Gwanggyo Government Complex and the Uijeongbu Northern Government Complex. The Sewol Ferry flag features a black ribbon on a yellow background with the phrase "One small movement, a great miracle."


Gyeonggi-do Raises Sewol Ferry Memorial Flag... Wears Memorial Banners and Badges Gyeonggi Province is raising a Sewol Ferry Disaster memorial flag at the flagpole of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry Disaster.

Additionally, stand-type banners with the phrase "All 14 million residents of Gyeonggi Province will never forget the victims who became stars" will be installed at the entrances and lobbies of each government complex, and memorial banners will be placed at the entrance of the basement level 1 of the Gwanggyo Government Complex and Exit 4 of Gwanggyo Jungang Station.


Along with this, yellow ribbon badges will be distributed to employees at the entrances of the government complexes to commemorate the victims of the Sewol Ferry disaster and share their pain.


Meanwhile, since January this year, Gyeonggi Province has been operating an online memorial hall for the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster on the "Memory and Solidarity" portal on the Gyeonggi Province website (gg.go.kr). In particular, during the memorial period, clicking the web banner links directly to the memorial site, allowing anyone to visit and write memorial messages.
