In the 22nd general election, the three major terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS) announced exit poll results predicting that the Democratic Party of Korea will secure up to 200 seats, drawing attention to the results in key battleground constituencies.


According to the exit poll results announced by the three terrestrial broadcasters on the 10th, in Incheon Gyeyang-eul, Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung led with 56.1%, while People Power Party candidate Won Hee-ryong had 43.8%.


In Yongsan, Seoul, where the Presidential Office is located, incumbent People Power Party candidate Kwon Young-se had 49.3%, and Democratic Party candidate Kang Tae-woong was narrowly ahead with 50.3%.

In Dongjak-eul, Seoul, Democratic Party candidate Ryu Sam-young led with 52.3%, while People Power Party candidate Na Kyung-won had 47.7%, showing a close race. In Gwangjin-gap, Democratic Party candidate Lee Jeong-heon led with 54.1%, and People Power Party candidate Kim Byung-min had 45.9%.


In Bundang-gap, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, Democratic Party candidate Lee Kwang-jae had 52.8%, and People Power Party candidate Ahn Cheol-soo had 47.2%, a 5.6 percentage point difference in a tight contest.


In Suwon-jeong, Gyeonggi Province, Democratic Party candidate Kim Jun-hyuk led with 54.7%, ahead of People Power Party candidate Lee Soo-jung.


In Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, which attracted attention as a three-way race, Democratic Party candidate Gong Young-woon had 43.7%, and Reform New Party candidate Lee Jun-seok had 40.5%, a 3.2 percentage point difference in a close contest.

In Yangsan-eul, South Gyeongsang Province, which drew interest as a contest between former governors of Gyeongnam, Democratic Party candidate Kim Du-kwan had 50.6%, and People Power Party candidate Kim Tae-ho had 49.4%, showing an extremely close race.


In Suyeong, Busan, where an independent candidate Jang Ye-chan entered the three-way race, Democratic Party candidate Yoo Dong-chul had 35.2%, People Power Party candidate Jeong Yeon-wook had 53.1%, and candidate Jang had 11.7%, with Jeong leading beyond the margin of error.


The exit polls by the three terrestrial broadcasters were conducted by KBS, MBC, and SBS commissioning Korea Research, Ipsos, and Korea Research. From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day, a systematic sampling method was used to survey 359,750 voters exiting polling stations in 254 constituencies nationwide, selecting every 5th voter at equal intervals. The sampling error margin was ±2.9% to 7.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
