Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Final On-site Inspection of Filial Piety Meal Side Dish Factory

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, conducted the final inspection before completion on the afternoon of the 9th at the Hyo-do Bapsang Side Dish Factory under construction at 450-3 Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu.

'Resident Participation Hyo-do Bapsang' is a representative senior welfare project in Mapo-gu that manages not only lunch meals for seniors aged 75 and older in the area but also their health and safety all at once.

Starting with seven Hyo-do Bapsang meal service institutions in April last year, Mapo-gu has expanded the scope to all neighborhoods and is currently running the Hyo-do Bapsang project at 17 institutions. To expand the number of beneficiaries within a limited budget, a side dish factory is being established.

On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, inspected the facilities and equipment of the side dish factory nearing completion and completed the inspection by tasting the food prepared at the factory.

Mayor Park Gang-su said, “It is very meaningful that more seniors will be able to use the Hyo-do Bapsang through the side dish factory,” and added, “I hope special attention will be paid to ensure the construction is well completed by the time of completion.”

Mapo-gu plans to complete the 'Hyo-do Bapsang Side Dish Factory' on April 12 and hold a completion ceremony on the 15th.
