Appealing for Return to Medical Field via SNS... "The Medical Field is the First Step to Saving Precious Lives"
Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungnam Province, appealed for the return of residents to medical sites.
On the 9th, Governor Kim said through SNS, "As the medical gap prolongs, the capacity to treat severe emergency diseases is becoming difficult, and the waiting times for surgeries and treatments are getting longer," adding, "Patients, guardians, and medical staff at university hospitals, as well as the residents of Chungnam, are anxiously waiting."
He continued, "The medical sites where residents return are the first step to saving precious lives," emphasizing, "The residents who did not give up on patients and endured sacrifices for them should be right beside the patients now."
Governor Kim said, "Since a communication opportunity was recently arranged with President Yoon Seok-yeol, I ask the residents to trust the government and return to the residents of Chungnam who are waiting," adding, "The 2.2 million residents of Chungnam will welcome you warmly without any conditions."
Currently, in the Chungnam region, out of 228 residents at 9 training hospitals in the province, 208 have either canceled their contracts or left their workplaces.
Accordingly, the province is operating a Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and has activated a 24-hour emergency medical system at 16 emergency medical institutions.
