Jinju City Establishes 'Smartphone App Service' for Agricultural Machinery Rental Center

Added Rental Agricultural Machinery Reservation via Smartphone App

Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that it has developed a smartphone app to provide rental agricultural machinery reservation services for the convenience of users at the Agricultural Machinery Rental Center.

Until now, applications for rental agricultural machinery were made by visiting in person, by phone, or through the website, but with the addition of the smartphone app method, users can now access the service more conveniently.

The Jinju Smart Agricultural Machinery Rental app can be installed by scanning the QR code or by searching for ‘Smart Agricultural Machinery Rental’ in the Google Play Store on Android smartphones.

The status of rental agricultural machinery and rental fees by model can be checked after installing the app, and reservations and applications for rentals are only available to farmers who have registered as members directly at the rental center.

Since April 2019, Jinju City has operated three rental centers: Central starting in 2019, Southern in 2020, and Eastern in 2023, holding 524 units of 98 types of rental agricultural machinery. The city actively runs services including machinery delivery, a 50% rental fee discount due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and safety education for the use of agricultural machinery.

A city official stated, “To repay the great interest and support for the Agricultural Machinery Rental Center, we have developed this app on the occasion of its 5th anniversary. We will do our best to make the rental center more convenient and safe to use.”
