Jinju City Council Unveils Campaign Poster Promoting Integrity Culture Atmosphere

Boarding the 'Cheongnyeomho' Toward Advanced Legislative Affairs

The Jinju City Council in Gyeongnam is drawing attention by unveiling a unique poster pledging clean governance. On the 8th, the Jinju City Council fully raised the sails of the "Cheongnyeomho" by producing and distributing posters and card news in accordance with the "Jinju City Council Clean Culture Atmosphere Creation Plan" established last month.

The poster depicts local government activities as a sailboat navigating a distant sea route, showing a sailboat composed of photos of Jinju city council members and council office staff sailing out to sea.

Previously, in the 2023 integrity evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the Jinju City Council received a grade 2, rising one step from grade 3 in the previous 2021 evaluation, marking a notable achievement.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission will conduct and announce the local council integrity evaluation annually starting this year. In response to this strengthened evaluation policy, the Jinju City Council plans to produce posters, card news, banner advertisements, and more to raise the integrity awareness of council members and staff, while also increasing public interest.

In addition to the annual council integrity pledge ceremony and education, the council will hold staff integrity meetings to discuss difficulties in performing duties and seek solutions, thereby monitoring easily overlooked blind spots and preventing causes of corruption in advance.

Yang Haeyoung, chairman of the Jinju City Council, said, “To meet the heightened expectations and standards of residents, greater efforts are needed for the morality of local council members and the clean operation of local councils,” adding, “We will continue to explore various measures necessary to realize a clean and transparent advanced Jinju City Council.”
