'Museum Culture Festival' is a free performance event for visitors held annually since 2014 by the National Museum of Korea and the National Museum Culture Foundation. This year, a total of 26 performances will be held, including a concert commemorating Disability Day and performances at regional museums.

This year’s festival has three themes: ▲ 'The Dignity of the Nation,' linking national cultural and artistic institutions according to occasions and seasons ▲ 'Frugal and Careful Museum,' meaning carefully prepared performances ▲ 'Museum Together,' inviting people with disabilities and marginalized groups.

In particular, in April and August, as part of the ‘Museum Together’ events, performances featuring musicians with disabilities will be held. On the 27th, a concert commemorating Disability Day will feature the 'Hanbit Arts Group,' composed of visually impaired musicians. On August 17th, a performance by the developmental disability ensemble 'Art We Can' is scheduled.

In May and June, classical and traditional Korean music orchestra performances will be staged by groups such as the 'Seoul Orchestra,' the 'National Gugak Center Folk Orchestra,' and the 'National Symphony Orchestra.' In July and August, performances reinterpreting Korean music by artists such as pianist Yang Bang-eon, haegeum player Kang Eun-il, Ilwoldang, and Doo Beonjjae Dal will follow.

From September onward, performances will be presented by the 'National Jeongdong Theater Troupe' and the 'Gugak Brass Band Sido.'

Starting this year, a new segment introducing exhibition artifacts aligned with the monthly performance themes will also be added.

At regional national museums, following the series over the past three years such as 'Piano in the Museum,' 'Guitar in the Museum,' and 'Violin in the Museum,' various indie band invitation performances will be held under the theme 'Band in the Museum.'
