The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced the results of the '2023 Courier Service Evaluation' conducted on a total of 20 courier service providers, including Post Office Parcel, on the 8th.

This evaluation has been conducted annually since 2014 to protect consumer rights and improve service quality. It is divided into general courier companies providing consumer-to-consumer (C2C) and business-to-consumer (B2C) courier services, and corporate courier companies providing business-to-business (B2B) courier services. The evaluation involves assessments by a professional evaluation team and surveys of client companies. The evaluation criteria include 'process quality,' which examines customer service friendliness and proactiveness, and 'result quality,' which assesses delivery speed, safety, and worker protection levels.

As a result, in the general courier sector C2C category, Post Office Parcel received the highest A+ grade, followed by Logen Courier, Lotte Courier, Hanjin Courier, and CJ Logistics with A grades. The B++ grade was awarded to Ilyang Logistics. In the B2C category, Post Office Parcel and CJ Logistics tied for first place with A+ grades. Logen Courier, Lotte Courier, Coupang, and Hanjin Courier received A grades, while Kurly and Hapdong Courier received B++ grades. In the B2B category, Kyungdong Courier and Hapdong Courier were rated highest with A++ grades. Yongma Courier received an A+ grade, and Goryeo Courier, Dongjin Courier, Seonghwa Corporate Courier, and Ilyang Logistics received A grades.

The average scores by evaluation category were high in delivery speed (general 95.3 points, corporate 94 points) and safety (general 98.6 points, corporate 98 points) for both general and corporate courier services. In particular, next-day delivery rates were maintained at excellent service levels by most courier companies. However, general courier services scored generally low in customer demand responsiveness and accessibility, while corporate courier services saw a decrease in the average score for worker protection compared to the previous year (85 points → 82.9 points).

A Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport official stated, "We plan to share the evaluation results by company with the courier industry and work together to find improvement measures for any shortcomings."
