Will It Exceed 30%... Early Voting Rate at 3 PM on Second Day Reaches 26.53%

4.58%p Increase Compared to the 21st General Election
Highest in Jeonnam 36.45%, Lowest in Daegu 21.51%

The National Election Commission announced that as of 3 p.m. on the second day of early voting for the 22nd general election, the turnout rate was 26.53%.


Out of a total of 44,280,011 eligible voters, 11,747,305 had cast their votes in the early voting that began at 6 a.m. the previous day. This is 4.58 percentage points higher than the early voting turnout rate at the same time during the 21st general election in 2020 (21.95%).

The region with the highest turnout so far is Jeonnam (36.45%), followed by Jeonbuk (33.58%), Gwangju (32.47%), and Sejong (30.51%).


The lowest turnout was recorded in Daegu at 21.51%, followed by Jeju (24.45%), Gyeonggi (24.76%), and Busan (25.14%). Seoul and Incheon recorded 27.26% and 25.35%, respectively.


Early voting will continue until 6 p.m. today. To participate in early voting, voters must bring their ID and visit an early voting station.


A total of 3,565 early voting stations have been set up nationwide. The locations of the voting stations can be checked on the National Election Commission’s website or by calling the main phone number.
