Anyangcheon Embankment Path is a Cherry Blossom Spot with 1,047 King Cherry Trees Planted Along 7km
70 Landscape Lights Installed on 150m Section from Doksan Pedestrian Bridge to Anyangcheon Bridge
Operating from Sunset to 10 PM, April to October
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the nighttime landscape lighting installed along the Anyangcheon embankment cherry blossom path opposite the district office will operate from sunset until 10 PM.
The Anyangcheon embankment path in the area is a representative cherry blossom spot in Seoul, with 1,047 king cherry trees planted along a 7 km stretch. The cherry blossoms reached full bloom on the 3rd, attracting many visitors for evening strolls among the blossoms.
The district invested 100 million KRW this year to install 70 landscape lights along a 150m section from Doksan Pedestrian Bridge to Anyangcheon Bridge, allowing people to enjoy the cherry blossoms even at night.
The landscape lights, which softly glow and change through seven colors, naturally blend with the cherry blossoms, creating a dreamy atmosphere and offering visitors a unique visual experience along the cherry blossom path.
The district plans to continue operating the landscape lighting until October, when the number of walkers remains high even after the cherry blossoms have fallen.
Additionally, a new 231㎡ rest area has been created and is being operated opposite Ancheon Elementary School this year. The rest area includes outdoor tables, chairs, platforms, wooden stairs connecting to Anyangcheon Bridge, providing convenience to visitors, and also operates a mobile food truck.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “I hope everyone enjoys the fully bloomed cherry blossoms under the splendid lights and creates wonderful memories. We will continue to expand new attractions and sculptures along Anyangcheon to make it a representative four-season relaxation space in Seoul.”
