Gangbuk-gu Office and Affiliated Organizations Conduct 3-Day Integrity Training... Total 1,432 Participants
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) conducted an 'Anti-Power Harassment and Anti-Corruption Integrity Training' for district office and affiliated institution employees from the 20th to the 23rd of last month.
This training was held to enhance the integrity awareness of public officials by inviting a specialist instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute. The sessions covered topics such as the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, common violation cases encountered by local government officials, and the Code of Conduct for Public Officials.
A total of 1,432 employees participated in the training, including all Gangbuk-gu Office staff, Gangbuk-gu Urban Management Corporation, and Gangbuk Cultural Center. Specialist instructor Park Yeon-jeong from the Integrity Training Institute provided education on topics such as ▲ learning violation cases of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act by case ▲ prohibition of accepting money and entertainment ▲ prohibition of power harassment toward companies related to official duties ▲ prohibition of private labor demands within the organization.
The district plans to conduct customized training in the second half of this year for senior officials at grade 5 and above, new and promoted employees, and managers and staff in charge of licensing departments. They will also enhance training effectiveness through various methods such as integrity workshops and integrity concerts.
Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, stated, "I hope that public sector workers in Gangbuk-gu will perform their duties transparently with an honest mindset to create a 'Gangbuk-gu free of power harassment' and a 'Gangbuk-gu that empowers the lives of its residents' together."
