Most Rain Stops in the Evening
Morning Low Temperatures 6∼14°C
Afternoon High Temperatures 10∼21°C
On Wednesday the 3rd, the whole country will be cloudy with rain.
Jeju Island will experience heavy rain of 20 to 30 mm per hour, and the southern coast will see heavy rain of 10 to 20 mm per hour in some areas. There is also a forecast for gusty winds accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, and the Chungcheong region, most of the rain will stop by evening. Rain will continue until late at night on the east coast of Gangwon and the southern regions, and until early morning on the 4th on Jeju Island.
From morning to afternoon, light raindrops of less than 0.1 mm may fall in northern Gyeonggi and inland northern Gangwon. The expected rainfall for the 2nd to 3rd is 20 to 60 mm in Gwangju·Jeonnam, Busan·Ulsan·Gyeongnam, and the southern east coast of Gyeongbuk (with heavier amounts near Jirisan and over 80 mm on the southern coast), 10 to 50 mm in Jeonbuk, 10 to 40 mm in Daegu·Gyeongbuk (excluding the southern east coast), and 5 to 20 mm in Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
In southern Gyeonggi, about 5 mm of rain is expected, and less than 5 mm in Seoul and Incheon. The central and southern Gangwon east coast and central and southern Gangwon mountainous areas will see 5 to 20 mm, while central and southern Gangwon inland, northern Gangwon mountainous areas, and northern Gangwon east coast will receive about 5 mm of rain. The Chungcheong region is expected to have 5 to 20 mm of rain. Until early morning on the 4th, the southern and eastern parts of Jeju Island will receive 50 to 100 mm (with heavier amounts over 150 mm in mountainous and southern mid-mountain areas), and the northern and western parts of Jeju Island will see 20 to 60 mm (with heavier amounts over 100 mm in northern mid-mountain areas).
The morning low temperature is forecast to be between 6 and 14 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 10 and 21 degrees Celsius. Especially, morning temperatures will be around 10 degrees in the central regions, and around 15 degrees in the southern regions and Jeju Island, about 10 degrees higher than the average.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of precipitation.
Thunder and lightning are expected in the southern offshore areas of the West Sea, the South Sea, Jeju waters, and the southern East Sea, so caution is advised for maritime safety accidents. Sea waves will be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the near seas of the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the near seas of the West Sea. Wave heights in the outer offshore areas (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
