Customized Design with Monthly Insurance Premiums Below 10,000 Won
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on the 2nd that it has launched a direct-only product for companion dogs called ‘Chakhan Pet Insurance.’ This product comprehensively covers outpatient and inpatient medical expenses, surgery costs, and funeral service support for companion dogs.
Chakhan Pet Insurance reduces the burden of premiums through customized insurance rates. The ‘Practical’ plan offers coverage for medical expenses on the day of surgery with a monthly premium under 10,000 KRW. Customers can choose a compensation limit between 1 million and 3 million KRW. Consumers who want more extensive coverage can subscribe to the ‘Premium’ plan, which includes medical expenses, liability coverage, and more.
Additional discounts are also available. Registering an animal registration certificate grants a 5% discount on the monthly premium. Also, by checking the health status of the companion dog through the ‘Direct Chak’ application, customers can receive ‘AnyPoint,’ which can be used to pay insurance premiums.
Through special contracts, funeral services for companion dogs are also supported. In the event of a companion dog’s death, customers can choose between receiving insurance money or Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance’s exclusive funeral service support.
A representative from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Direct Chak stated, “We have prepared a new insurance product for companion dogs at an affordable premium,” adding, “We will support funeral services and stand with customers through the moment of farewell.”
