Meanwhile, in January, two men were sent to prosecution without detention on charges of special intimidation for threatening to hit another driver with a baseball bat during a dispute while driving in Daejeon.
On January 25, the Daejeon Western Police Station announced that they had sent men identified as C (45) and D (30) to the prosecution without detention on charges of special intimidation. On January 11 at around 8:08 p.m., they cut in front of E (47) on a road in Seo-gu, Daejeon, and obstructed traffic by suddenly braking during a dispute while driving. When E changed lanes, they followed E’s vehicle, overtook it, and then abruptly braked again to force the car to stop.
When E’s car finally stopped, they took out an aluminum baseball bat from their trunk and threatened E. Initially, they denied the charges, claiming they only had a verbal argument, but after the police showed them footage from the vehicle’s black box and pressed them, they admitted to their actions.
