Seocheon-gun to Create 6,772 Jobs This Year

Seocheon-gun, Chungnam announced on the 1st that it has established a detailed plan to create 6,772 direct jobs this year and posted it on the local employment information network.

It also plans to invest 35.5 billion KRW in five areas: direct job creation, vocational skill development training, employment service improvement, public incentives, and start-up/creative activities, aiming for an employment rate of 72.3% (based on ages 15 to 64) and 30,000 employed persons.

The county has prepared 12 practical tasks under five major promotion strategies: △ job creation through manufacturing growth and attraction △ creation of regionally specialized jobs utilizing tourism and rural fishing village resources △ future job creation through youth-led regional industry advancement △ customized job creation tailored to target groups where jobs become strength △ strengthening job creation capabilities through win-win cooperation among local entities.

County Governor Kim Ki-woong said, “We will do our best to promote regionally specialized job projects suited to the county’s circumstances and create customized jobs by utilizing regional infrastructure such as future industries, tourism, and rural fishing village resources to revitalize the local economy.”
