"The Argument for Regime Judgment Is Merely a Means to Earn a Badge"
The People Power Party emphasized the need to judge the opposition parties, including the Democratic Party and the Joguk Innovation Party, by mentioning allegations of illicit loans and negligence in duties. They also argued that the opposition's call for regime judgment is a means to form a protective alliance in the National Assembly.

On the morning of the 1st, Yoon Jae-ok, floor leader of the People Power Party, said at the election countermeasure committee meeting held at the central party office in Yeouido, Seoul, "The anger of the people is accumulating as the Democratic Party and the Joguk Innovation Party touch the nerve of the middle-class and common people," adding, "Politics for the people cannot come from forces involved in corruption." He continued, "Just imagining the Lee-Jo (Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, and Jo Guk, leader of the Joguk Innovation Party) alliance gaining parliamentary power makes me sigh," and said, "The regime judgment theory does not represent the people at all," adding, "It is merely a political engineering tool to wear the (National Assembly member) badge."
Regarding Yang Moon-seok, the Democratic Party candidate accused of illicit loan allegations, Yoon mentioned the Democratic Party's responsibility for nominating him. Yoon said, "It seems the Democratic Party did not properly verify (Yang) simply because he is pro-Lee. They were only eager to cut off Jeon Chul, a Democratic Party lawmaker who is anti-Lee," adding, "Companies that sell defective products are eliminated from the market. The Democratic Party must also be judged without fail."
He also criticized Park Eun-jung, who received the number one spot on the proportional representation candidate list from the Joguk Innovation Party. Yoon said, "Before her dismissal, Park used sick leave and annual leave for 1 year and 9 months but still received a salary in the hundreds of millions of won," adding, "It is necessary to verify whether she was truly unable to come to work or was sick." He continued, "It is difficult to find an image that meets the people's standards since she acted as a pro-Moon Jae-in prosecutor," and argued, "There is symbolism in being number one on the proportional list, but the Joguk Innovation Party has shown that it is far from the common sense of the people."
Meanwhile, there were also calls for the government and ruling party to show an attitude of reflection. Ahn Cheol-soo, co-chairman of the People Power Party's joint election countermeasures committee, said, "Leader Lee and Leader Jo, who have boarded the regime judgment tsunami, are hinting at impeachment and engaging in revenge battles, while we are helpless," adding, "Even now, the government and ruling party must comply with public sentiment."
