Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) is conducting a public inspection of the proposed housing official prices, calculated as of January 1 this year, and is accepting public comments until April 8.

This year, the housing official price inspection covers 19,554 individual houses and 100,804 apartment units.

The apartment prices are surveyed and calculated by the Korea Real Estate Board, while individual house prices are calculated by the district office and then verified by the Korea Real Estate Board before being reviewed and decided by the Real Estate Price Disclosure Committee.

Since the housing official prices are used as the basis for various tax assessments such as property tax, acquisition tax, and comprehensive real estate tax, housing owners or legally interested parties should check the housing prices during the inspection period and submit their opinions if any.

The housing official prices can be viewed directly through the Real Estate Price Disclosure website, the Gwanak-gu Office Property Acquisition Tax Division, or the local community service centers.

If there are any opinions, they can be registered directly on the Real Estate Price Disclosure website or submitted within the deadline by visiting, faxing, or mailing to the Korea Real Estate Board Seoul Southern Branch, Gwanak-gu Office Property Acquisition Tax Division, or the local community service centers.

When opinions are received, the district will re-investigate factors such as housing characteristics and price balance with nearby houses, notify individuals of the results, and finalize and announce the official housing prices on April 30.
