Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 31st regarding the fraudulent loan controversy involving Yang Moon-seok, the Democratic Party candidate for Ansan Gap in Gyeonggi Province, "It is indeed a fraudulent loan that caused harm to the public. Yang Moon-seok should sue Han Dong-hoon."
Chairman Han said at a campaign site in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, in the morning, "Candidate Yang says, 'No one in our family was harmed, so it is not fraud,' but the public has suffered, and the small business owners who did not receive that money are the victims."
Earlier, Candidate Yang sparked controversy after taking out a business loan worth 1.1 billion won under the name of his college student daughter when purchasing an apartment in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Yang admitted that his daughter had no intention of running a business but still obtained a business loan. However, he countered, "Is there any victim who was defrauded by our family's loan?"
Chairman Han responded, "By that logic, is there no victim in drunk driving? Are there no victims of the Lee Jae-myung representative's Daejang-dong corruption? Is there no victim from Lee Jae-myung's use of corporate cards?" He raised his voice, saying, "This person (Candidate Yang) said he would sue everyone who called his actions fraudulent loans. I clearly say, sue me first."
Chairman Han emphasized, "This person (Candidate Yang) says he 'consulted with Saemaeul Geumgo employees,' but if it was collusion, the charge would only change to breach of trust. We call all of that fraud."
Chairman Han raised his voice again, saying, "I say once more, it is indeed a fraudulent loan that caused harm to the public. So, Yang Moon-seok, sue Han Dong-hoon. Let's settle this once and for all. I will fight against the Democratic Party and Yang Moon-seok on behalf of all sensible citizens who think the same as I do."
