Busan Gijang Police Station Begins On-Site Inspection and Accident Cause Investigation
A truck performing turf maintenance at a golf course ran over a cart carrying workers, resulting in 2 deaths and 2 injuries.
According to the Busan Gijang Police Station, at around 10:25 PM on the 30th, at a golf course in Gijang-gun, when a cart carrying 4 people overturned during turf maintenance work, the driver and passenger of a 1-ton truck following behind stopped the vehicle and went to help.
At that time, for unknown reasons, the truck slipped down and collided with the cart.
As a result of the accident, among the four women in their 40s riding the cart, 2 died and 2 were injured. The man in his 30s who was driving the truck and the man in his 40s riding beside him reportedly sustained minor injuries.
The police began an investigation into the exact cause of the accident on the 31st, including inspecting the accident scene.
