On the 30th at 4 PM, Oh Seung-rok, the mayor of Nowon-gu, Seoul, attended the '2024 Danghyeoncheon Cherry Blossom Concert' held at the Danghyeoncheon ground fountain area next to Korea Bible University.
The Danghyeoncheon Cherry Blossom Concert is a representative cultural performance project of the district, designed to allow residents to enjoy high-quality musical performances in Danghyeoncheon, the most comfortable and frequently visited healing space for the community.
At the event, performances were given by ▲ Jang Sa-ik, who sings the joys and sorrows of life with the poignant emotions of traditional Korean melodies and popular songs ▲ Choi Jung-won, a musical actor representing the first generation of Korean musicals ▲ soprano Shim Kyu-yeon, who captivates audiences with her elegant and sweet voice ▲ and the Western Symphony Orchestra, internationally recognized for its musical excellence, providing a healing time for residents weary from daily life.
Meanwhile, from April 20 to April 28, the district will hold the '2024 Bulamsan Azalea Festival: "Again, Spring"' at the Bulamsan Healing Town area. The 'Bulamsan Azalea Festival' is one of Nowon's five major festivals and will take place every weekend during the azalea blooming season at 'Azalea Hill,' a representative attraction of Nowon-gu where 100,000 azalea bushes bloom, featuring various cultural programs.
Oh Seung-rok, mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “I hope that the high-quality concert held close to home, accompanied by fluttering cherry blossoms, cool breezes, and the sound of Danghyeoncheon’s water, will enrich the daily lives of our residents.”
