Cho Yang-rae Visits Funeral Hall with Son Cho Hyun-beom and Brother Cho Seok-rae... "Heartbroken for Not Seeing Him in the Final Moments"

Cho Yang-rae, Honorary Chairman of Korea & Company Group, visited the funeral hall at Sinchon Severance Hospital in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, where the funeral of his older brother Cho Seok-rae, Honorary Chairman of Hyosung Group, was being held.


Honorary Chairman Cho arrived at the funeral hall at around 1:20 p.m. on the 30th, becoming the first among the business owner families to pay his respects. Cho Hyun-beom, the second son and Chairman of Korea & Company Group, also stayed and mourned for over an hour.

After paying his respects, Chairman Cho Hyun-beom told reporters, "Father (Honorary Chairman Cho Yang-rae) was very saddened," adding, "He was very regretful that he could not see his older brother (the late Honorary Chairman Cho Seok-rae) in the final moments."


He said, "When old photos came out among the belongings, he reminisced about his high school days and missed his uncle very much."

Chairman Cho Hyun-beom said, "It was not a peaceful passing for my uncle, so my heart aches deeply. He suffered a lot mentally and physically in the final days, so I feel very sorry," adding, "I hope he has gone to a good place and can rest comfortably."


Honorary Chairman Cho Seok-rae passed away at the age of 89 at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, at 6:38 p.m. on the 29th. The funeral will be held over five days, with the farewell ceremony on the 2nd of next month.
