On the 29th, YTN reported that around 2 p.m. the previous day, a truck transporting beer had its door open on a road in Mokgam-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi Province, causing hundreds of beer bottles to spill onto the road. The shattered beer bottles quickly covered the road with green glass shards. Due to this, the police controlled the road, anticipating severe traffic congestion, but 15 soldiers from the Capital Defense Command Solgae Unit passing by rolled up their sleeves and quickly cleaned up the scene.

A citizen who witnessed the scene said, "Hundreds of beer bottles broke, and even boxes and drums spilled, but with the help of the military and police, everything was cleaned up within 30 minutes," adding, "I am grateful to the soldiers and police who responded quickly." Sergeant Hwang Seontae of the Solgae Unit said in an interview with YTN, "As the people's army, we just did what was naturally expected," and added, "If the same situation occurs again, the Solgae Unit soldiers will rush to the scene without hesitation."

Netizens who heard the story responded with comments such as "Give them a reward leave," "Really proud," "Thank you," and "This is good news."

Stories of military personnel stepping in to handle various accidents on the roads continue to emerge. On January 15th at around 3:13 p.m., an elderly man accidentally dropped a wad of cash on the road at Dongmun Rotary in Seogwipo-si, Jeju. The elderly man, flustered, hurriedly chased after the flying money, but it had already scattered here and there due to the wind. Moreover, this road is a busy intersection with frequent vehicle traffic, raising concerns about potential traffic accidents.

At that moment, a group of young men stepped forward to help the elderly man. These soldiers, along with nearby citizens, began picking up the money scattered on the road. A citizen who witnessed the situation said, "I was driving and saw people on the road, and it turned out to be soldiers picking up money." The amount of money the elderly man had and the identities of the soldiers and citizens who helped pick up the money have not been disclosed, but thanks to the exemplary actions of the soldiers and citizens, the elderly man was able to safely recover his money.
