Gokseong-gun Future Education Foundation Supports Tuition Fees for High-Achieving University Students

Up to 2 Million Won, 120 Selected

The Gokseong-gun Future Education Foundation in Jeollanam-do announced that on the 27th, it held the 7th meeting of the Scholarship Project Deliberation Committee and reviewed and approved the agenda for the ‘2024 Scholarship and Encouragement Projects.’

First, in the first half of the year, the number of outstanding university students selected will increase by 40 from 80 last year to 120 this year, with a maximum of 2 million KRW per person to support actual tuition fees. The announcement will be posted on the Gokseong-gun Future Education Foundation website in early April, and payments are planned for June.

For outstanding high school students, 30 will be selected, and 500,000 KRW per person will be provided. Schools at all levels will be notified in May to recommend scholarship candidates.

In the second half of the year, 30 elementary school students will be selected as growth support scholarship recipients and will receive 200,000 KRW each, and 30 middle school students will receive 300,000 KRW each, as decided.

Additionally, encouragement funds will be provided to individuals or school sports teams who have achieved excellent results in arts, physical education, and technical fields, as well as to out-of-school youth who have passed the qualification exam.

A foundation official stated, “Through various scholarship and encouragement projects, we will do our best to create an educational ecosystem where Gokseong-gun students can learn locally and grow into local talents.”
