On the 29th, the Jeju Hallasan National Park Management Office announced that among Hallasan visitors, the craze for 'cup ramen eating 인증샷' has led to overflowing ramen broth discarded in every food waste bin.
Currently, at locations above 1700m such as Witseoreum, 'eating' is permitted to conveniently enjoy cup ramen by pouring hot water brought in thermoses. While most visitors take their trash with them after eating cup ramen, the leftover broth is reportedly difficult to dispose of.

In fact, the cup ramen broth discarded in food waste bins at shelters is collected and processed directly by management staff, and the volume is said to be overwhelmingly large. In response, the management office is promoting a 'Do Not Leave Ramen Broth' campaign to visitors through banners and social media (SNS).
Kim Hee-chan, head of the Jeju World Heritage Headquarters, stated, "We ask all visitors to Hallasan to protect the mountain by taking small actions such as not leaving contaminants like cup ramen broth behind."
