The 49th Association President's National Boys and Girls Middle and High School Basketball Gwangyang Tournament 'Smooth Sailing'
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 29th that the 49th Association President's National Men and Women Middle and High School Basketball Tournament is progressing smoothly amid fierce competition.
The tournament, held from March 26 to April 5 over 11 days, features over 1,300 players from 81 middle and high school teams nationwide. After group preliminaries and final tournaments, the event will culminate in the semifinals and finals.
The games are simultaneously held at three venues: Yeonggwang Sportium National Sports Center, Indoor Auxiliary Gymnasium, and Beopseong High School Gymnasium. All matches are available for viewing and cheering nationwide through live streaming on the Korea Middle and High School Basketball Federation's YouTube channel.

The tournament showcases outstanding games fueled by the passion and dedication of basketball hopefuls who will lead the future of Korean basketball. The county has deployed medical staff, cleaning, and guidance personnel at the venues at all times to ensure smooth operation and to provide convenience for the visiting teams.
With the active progress of this tournament, the county aims to create a so-called 'sports festival boom' leading up to the two major sports events in Jeollanam-do in April, while putting full effort into various promotions and attracting visitors.
A county official stated, "Many parents from across the country are visiting not only to watch the students' games but also to enjoy our county's excellent attractions and food," adding, "We will make every effort to ensure that the passionate enthusiasm of players and spectators continues through the Jeollanam-do major sports events."
