Kumho Tire announced on the 29th that it has obtained TISAX (information security certification) from the German Association of the Automotive Industry.
TISAX is a global information security certification system created by the German Association of the Automotive Industry to standardize security evaluation criteria for automobile manufacturers worldwide. Based on ISO/IEC 27001 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), it evaluates security in four major categories: information security system, partner security system, data protection system, and prototype protection system.
Kumho Tire has proven a stable level of security by obtaining TISAX certification for a total of seven business sites, including its Seoul office in Korea, Yongin central research center, Gwangju and Gokseong factories, Nanjing and Changchun factories in China, and Georgia factory in the United States. This year, it plans to complete certification acquisition for additional domestic and overseas business sites.
Kumho Tire is making various efforts to strengthen information security. Last year, it established an Information Security Management Team and is strengthening the company-wide information security system under the supervision of the Chief Security Officer (Head of the Management Planning Division). It is also improving information security management processes such as cybersecurity investment and system advancement, thereby securing capabilities in the security field.
