Lee Hae-chan "Do Not Be Shaken by Criticism and Abusive Language"
Lee Jae-myung Provides 'Remote Support' via YouTube While Going to Court
On the morning of the 29th, the Democratic Party of Korea held an on-site election countermeasure committee meeting at the campaign office of Lee Kwang-jae, the candidate for Seongnam-si Bundang-gu Gap in Gyeonggi Province, located in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province. Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, was absent due to attending the trial related to the Daejang-dong incident, but he expressed support for Song Ki-ho, the candidate for Seoul Songpa-gu Eul, through a YouTube live broadcast.
At the meeting, Lee Hae-chan, the standing co-chairman of the Democratic Party's election countermeasure committee, stated, "We must conduct dignified campaigning and election activities." He said, "As the election begins, slander and abusive language are rampant," adding, "It seems that the exaggeration of suspicions will become even worse. The central campaign and candidates must not be shaken by such fault-finding and abusive language."

He continued, "It is very important that we gain parliamentary power to solve the suffering that the people are experiencing," and said, "By any means, we must bring about a result in this election that can stop the recklessness, immorality, and ruthlessness of this administration. In fact, the voter turnout seems likely to be higher than ever before."
Jo Jeong-sik, the candidate for Siheung-si Eul in Gyeonggi Province, emphasized the importance of voting during the meeting. He said, "It is truly disgraceful to see the People Power Party floundering in their efforts to lower voter turnout," and added, "The People Power Party's election committee initially said they were not considering encouraging early voting, but after criticism, they changed their stance, saying it was not the party's official position. Dear citizens, please make sure to come out to vote," he urged.
Meanwhile, Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, had to attend the trial related to the 'Daejang-dong incident' and was absent from the on-site election countermeasure committee. During the time the committee meeting was held, he moved to the courthouse and conducted a YouTube live broadcast. He remotely supported Song Ki-ho, the candidate for Songpa-gu Eul, saying, "According to our current judgment, Songpa-gu Eul is a very close race. Please make sure to elect candidate Song this time."
