Seongnam City Announces Contest for Apartment Community Revitalization Project... Until April 18

Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the ‘Apartment Community Revitalization Project’ until April 18.

The Apartment Community Revitalization Project is a program that provides project promotion funds to apartment complexes that develop and operate programs to promote communication and harmony among neighbors.

Seongnam City increased the project budget from 40 million KRW last year to 80 million KRW this year for this project.

Seongnam City is conducting the contest targeting apartment complexes with 20 or more households and will support 2 million to 12 million KRW per complex.

The contest contents include ▲ projects to resolve conflicts among apartment residents such as preventing noise between floors and smoking between floors ▲ building apartment apps for communication among residents and operating resident schools ▲ programs to reduce management fees through energy savings, etc.

Apartments wishing to apply for the project should submit the application form and project plan jointly under the names of the resident (tenant) representative meeting, community revitalization organization, and management entity (management office, etc.) within the deadline via ‘Botaem-e (Local Subsidy Management System)’ or to the Seongnam City Apartment Division.

Seongnam City will form a review committee to comprehensively evaluate the necessity of the project, expected effects, resident participation, sustainability, and select complexes to receive subsidies. However, each complex must bear at least 20% of the costs incurred for project implementation.

Last year, Seongnam City selected 10 projects including the ‘Bandi Eoullim Hanmadang Festival’ at Wirye Hoban Summit Avenue Apartment Complex in Changgok-dong, the ‘Flower Tree Cultivation for Elderly Mental and Physical Stability’ at Mokryeon Village 1 Complex in Yatap-dong, and ‘A Village Embroidered with Nature in Daily Life’ at Hanyang Sujain Seongnam Markview, providing a total of 39.94 million KRW in apartment community revitalization subsidies.
