Chosun University and the Gwangju Youth Center have signed a business agreement to further promote domestic and international exchange activities for local youth.
The signing ceremony held on the 28th at Chosun University’s Cheongchul Eorum was attended by Gwangju Youth Center Director Koo Moon-jung, team leaders Yoon Seong-hoon, Park Min-guk, Kang Chung-jae, Kim Soo-hee, as well as Chosun University President Kim Chun-sung, Vice Director of External Cooperation Department Wi Seong-ok, and Ji Seung-hwan, president of the Chosun University General Club Federation.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲establishing a cooperative system based on mutual infrastructure and human resources ▲discovering and activating participation in youth policies and support projects to support youth development ▲exchange and cooperation activities to improve local settlement conditions for youth ▲support to enhance domestic, international, and global network and exchange activities for youth.
President Kim Chun-sung stated, "Through cooperation with the Gwangju Youth Center, which provides various policies and programs for our local youth, we want to create programs that allow young people who love Gwangju to stay in the city, making the university and local community places of learning and experience."
Director Koo Moon-jung said that through cooperation between the two organizations, "We will contribute to creating a Gwangju where youth can pursue joyful dreams and live happily, and also work together to develop youth support policies that support global exchange activities in a multicultural society."
Established in 2015, the Gwangju Youth Center operates as a support organization implementing youth policies based on the Gwangju Metropolitan City Basic Ordinance, discovering and carrying out youth support policies that reflect the voices of young people. The Gwangju Youth Center operates its main branch located in Dong-gu, a second branch (Chungjang) that helps youth preparing for independence enter society, and a third branch (Sangmu District) that runs financial capability enhancement support programs.
