Lee Jae-myung "A fuss over being hit by a stone"
Bae Hyun-jin "I never thought there would be no discernment"
On the 28th, Bae Hyun-jin, a member of the People Power Party, strongly criticized Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who belittled her assault incident as a 'nalli bbongjjak' (a chaotic fuss).
On the same day, Bae posted on her Facebook, saying, "I had long thought that this person lacked a sense of shame and hatred for wrongdoing (수오지심, 羞惡之心), but I never imagined that they would be so lacking in discernment as to mention 'nalli bbongjjak'."

Earlier, on the 27th, Lee visited Muhak Market in Chungju, Chungbuk, and said, "In the case where Bae Hyun-jin was hit with a stone, the police set up a police line, conducted scientific investigations, and made a big fuss while collecting evidence. Meanwhile, when the ruling party leader was stabbed in the neck and bleeding, the bloodstains were cleaned with water within an hour." He added, "This sends a signal to the public that 'forces opposing the regime can be treated like this.'"
Bae was attacked by a teenage male in the Gangnam district of Seoul in January. Lee was also attacked in Busan the same month and was airlifted to Seoul National University Hospital.

In response, Bae said, "As the public knows, I followed all procedures according to the manuals provided by the responding police and paramedics, and I am currently awaiting the investigation results," adding, "Everyone already knows where the 'nalli helicopter bbongjjak' was danced."
She continued, "I hope honest people will practice honest politics," and earnestly requested, "I humbly ask the public to filter out criminal candidates who dream of crime shielding or personal revenge in the 22nd National Assembly."
