At the Gyeongbu Expressway straightening construction site, Mayor Jung urged speeding up the construction of six connecting roads above the expressway that link the east and west regions, so that citizens can enjoy the benefits of the project as soon as possible.

A large-scale park along with six connecting roads will be built above the underground section created through the Gyeongbu Expressway straightening project.

Next, Mayor Jung visited Dongtan Station of GTX-A, scheduled to open on the 30th, and inspected the flow of movement from the ground to the escalators and from the elevators to the boarding gates with Dongtan Station officials and related department staff.

Mayor Jung stated, "With the opening, more passengers than expected may flock in, so safety is of utmost importance," and added, "I hope thorough preparations will be made to prevent confusion through appropriate staffing, guidance on passenger flow, and facility management."

Mayor Jung expressed his expectations, saying, "GTX is more than just a means of transportation; it is like a window that introduces Hwaseong," and added, "It will showcase 'Hwaseong, a city everyone wants to live in' to those who have been unable to access Hwaseong’s quality jobs and high-end residential environment due to previous accessibility limitations."
