Busan City Hosts 'Urban Brand Goods Design Contest'

City Brand Merchandise, Busan Value and Attachment Merchandise Contest

Online Participation Registration on Official Website from April 29 to May 16

Busan City and the Busan Design Promotion Agency will hold the "Busan City Brand Goods Design Contest" with a total prize of 15 million KRW from March 29 to May 16.

This contest was organized to discover goods that embody the value (good) of Busan and evoke affection (goodness) for Busan, using the city brand symbol mark and brand slogan (Busan is good) newly declared by the city in March last year.


Entries are open for various categories of Busan city brand goods, including daily necessities, office supplies, and crafts, with up to two goods per individual (team) allowed.


Anyone who is a "business entity" registered in Korea or an "individual" who can complete business registration within two months from the date of award selection can freely participate.


A total of 16 winning works will be selected through the first round of document screening and the second round of physical evaluation. Winners will receive a total prize of 15 million KRW, including 5 million KRW for the grand prize, and 16 certificates (4 Busan Mayor Awards). In particular, winners will have the special opportunity to have their goods featured in the "(tentative name) Busan Brand Shop," scheduled to open in the second half of this year.


Applications can be submitted online through the official website of the "Busan City Brand Goods Design Contest" from March 29 until 6 PM on May 16.


Works selected in the first round must submit physical models produced by 3D printers or similar for the second round of physical evaluation. The final results will be announced on June 11.

Kim Jae-hak, the city spokesperson, stated, "This contest will be an opportunity to widely promote the city’s key policies and the city brand ‘Busan is good’ through innovative content," and added, "We ask for the interest and participation of various creators not only from Busan but across the country."
