[2024 Asset Disclosure] President Yoon's Assets Total 7.48112 Billion KRW... Mostly Under Kim Geon-hee's Name

President Yoon Suk-yeol reported total assets of 7,481,121,000 KRW as of the end of last year. Compared to the asset declaration disclosed in March last year (7,697,259,000 KRW), this is a decrease of 21,613,800 KRW.

The Government Official Ethics Committee published this declaration in the official gazette on the 28th.

Most of the assets declared by President Yoon were under the name of his spouse, First Lady Kim Geon-hee. The couple reported deposits totaling 5,616,432,000 KRW, an increase of 33,285,000 KRW from the previous 5,583,147,000 KRW.

Deposits under President Yoon’s name increased by 94,893,000 KRW, from 537,393,000 KRW to 632,286,000 KRW, due to increased salary income.

Deposits under First Lady Kim’s name decreased by 61,608,000 KRW, from 5,045,754,000 KRW to 4,984,146,000 KRW.

The couple’s residence, Acrovista in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, registered under First Lady Kim’s name, was declared at 1,569,000,000 KRW for a land share of 26㎡ (approximately 8 pyeong) and a building of 164㎡ (approximately 50 pyeong). Last year, it was valued at 1,800,000,000 KRW, but the official housing price dropped, lowering the value by 231,000,000 KRW.

First Lady Kim solely owns land in Byeongsan-ri, Gangsang-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, including five forest lots, three warehouse sites, two land plots, and two roads, valued at 295,689,000 KRW.

President Yoon’s mother refused to register her assets, citing independent livelihood maintenance.
