KT Saenojo, Employee Survey Results Announced
"Prosecutor and Political Background Management Not Helpful"
A day before KT's regular shareholders' meeting, a staff survey revealed predominantly negative evaluations of CEO Kim Young-seop.

KT Saenozu (the 2nd labor union) disclosed on the 27th the results of a survey conducted from June 6 to 19 via text messages and other means, targeting about 380 KT employees.
Positive evaluations of CEO Kim, who is in his eighth month in office, accounted for only 24.3%, while negative evaluations reached 49.9%, close to a majority. The remaining 30.8% responded that they did not know.
Looking at specific responses, the survey showed 25.6% said "doing very poorly," 24.3% "generally doing poorly," 13.8% "generally doing well," and 5.5% "doing very well."
Regarding whether the working environment has improved since CEO Kim took office, 8.9% said it had improved, while 85.1% said there was no improvement.
Regarding the recruitment of executives from the prosecution and political circles since CEO Kim's appointment, 79.9% of respondents said it did not help KT's competitiveness.
In detailed questions about areas where CEO Kim is performing well, the most common response was "there is no particular area where he is doing well," at 45.4%.
Next were "presenting a management vision for growth (9.1%)," "creating new revenue sources such as new businesses (6.8%)," "strengthening competitiveness in the core telecommunications business (6.3%)," and "eradicating corrupt management (3.7%)."
KT Saenozu plans to submit the survey results to the board of directors at the shareholders' meeting and request CEO Kim to respond with future management plans and improvement measures.
