Baemin to Establish 'Hanam Baemin Rider School,' the Largest Rider Training Facility in Korea

Securing the Largest Domestic Education Infrastructure and Two-Wheeled Vehicle Expert Instructors
27 Billion KRW Investment, Educating Up to 20,000 People Annually

Baedal Minjok is establishing the two-wheeler safety training facility ‘Hanam Baemin Rider School’ to enhance the safety of domestic delivery services.

On the 27th, Baedal Minjok held a groundbreaking ceremony for the two-wheeler safety training facility ‘Hanam Baemin Rider School’ in Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. The ‘Hanam Baemin Rider School,’ scheduled for completion in 2025 with approximately 8,000㎡ over three floors and a budget of 27 billion KRW, is an expansion and relocation of the Baemin Rider School, a two-wheeler safety and delivery service training institution located in Namyangju, to Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

At this facility, riders can learn everything from theoretical education on two-wheeler safety to situations that may occur during operation. Specifically, it includes ▲a theory classroom accommodating up to 120 people ▲specialized lecture rooms on riding methods and traffic regulations by vehicle type ▲an indoor delivery experience training center for functional driving ▲a two-wheeler experience zone utilizing VR & AR ▲a safe delivery course simulating 22 different delivery conditions ▲use of electric two-wheelers throughout all training courses ▲a CPR and musculoskeletal stretching GX zone ▲and a rooftop garden for relaxation.

Since it is indoors, training can be conducted 365 days a year regardless of weather conditions. Riders can experience delivery situations in a space realistically recreated like an actual site, such as finding alleyways, confirming delivery order numbers before pickup, and crossing crosswalks after dismounting, to learn safe delivery practices in advance. There is a track that simulates changes in road surface conditions due to weather changes, and by using augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), even situations with limited visibility are recreated, allowing riders to acquire skills for handling unexpected situations.

Baemin Rider School, which has instructors with over 20 years of expertise in two-wheeler safety, plans to further advance and systematize its safety education programs based on the existing curriculum. The school has designed four training courses focused on delivery safety, divided into stages from beginner to professional riders: ▲Bae (basic safety education) ▲Dal (advanced performance skills) ▲An (response to emergencies) ▲Jeon (comprehensive advanced training).

Various educational programs supporting rider growth have also been expanded. Reflecting rider survey results, programs such as insurance education, tax law education, CPR training, and penalty point reduction education have been further enhanced. New programs including stress management education, stretching methods, and vehicle care have been introduced, and safety education will be provided for all modes of transportation including walking, bicycles, kickboards, and cars, in addition to two-wheelers.

Active community engagement for local residents’ traffic safety will also be pursued. Regular safety education will be conducted for citizens to foster a proper traffic safety culture. Additionally, joint campaigns will be carried out with Hanam City, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the National Police Agency, and the Road Traffic Authority to actively prevent accidents. To avoid pollution and noise, all training courses will be conducted using electric bikes, and on weekends, the facility will be used as an electric cart track for children.

Lee Guk-hwan, CEO of Woowa Brothers, stated, “Over the past 14 years, Baedal Minjok has grown alongside the delivery industry, and as a partner in mutual growth with riders, we have always considered and practiced ways to coexist. This has culminated in the establishment of the Hanam Baemin Rider School today.” He added, “As a leading company in the industry, we will take greater responsibility and do our best to ensure that the domestic delivery industry can develop healthily through the various educational programs conducted at the Baemin Rider School, where a safe delivery culture begins.”
