Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Recruitment for Participation in 'Multiple Supplier Contract Consulting Support Project'

Gwangju Chamber of Commerce will recruit six manufacturing companies located in Gwangju Metropolitan City that hold direct production certificates and factory registration certificates on a first-come, first-served basis, providing expert consulting worth 3 million KRW completely free of charge.

The public procurement market, worth approximately 196 trillion KRW annually, is gradually seeing a decline in traditional negotiated contracts and purchase bid announcement methods. In contrast, the method of purchasing products registered on procurement platforms such as the Nara Marketplace has been increasing year by year, with 22 trillion KRW in 2021, 25 trillion KRW in 2022, and 27 trillion KRW in 2023.

Local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are also striving to secure stable sales through entry into the Nara Marketplace shopping mall, but face difficulties entering the public procurement market alone due to lack of specialized personnel and information.

To resolve these difficulties faced by local companies, the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce will support local SMEs to more easily enter the public procurement market through this MAS consulting support project, and will strengthen a customized bidding information system to provide bidding information from major institutions nationwide, including Nara Marketplace.

Chae Hwaseok, the full-time vice chairman, stated, “All companies that received consulting through last year’s support project entered the Nara Marketplace shopping mall and recorded delivery performance of 8.6 billion KRW, contributing to stable market channels for beneficiary companies,” adding, “We will spare no effort to support local companies in pioneering new sales channels by establishing a close cooperative system with related organizations.”
