Gyeonggi-do Animal Hygiene Testing Center "93% of Farms in the Province Satisfied with Beneficial Microorganisms"

The satisfaction level of livestock farms in Gyeonggi Province with the beneficial microorganisms supplied by the province was found to exceed 90%.


The Gyeonggi Provincial Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory announced on the 27th that, as a result of a satisfaction survey conducted from January 2 to March 12 on farms and livestock facilities in 21 cities and counties that received eco-friendly beneficial microorganisms last year, 93% of the recipients were satisfied with the effects of the beneficial microorganisms.


This survey was conducted to evaluate the beneficial microorganism support project and to explore future directions for the project, targeting 509 farms supplied with liquid and powder beneficial microorganisms.

Regarding the effectiveness of using beneficial microorganisms, 171 farms responded that they were "very effective," accounting for 40% of the total. Additionally, 225 farms answered "effective," making up 53% of the total.


When asked about which aspects the beneficial microorganisms were effective, disease reduction was the highest with 243 farms (23%). This was followed by odor reduction with 177 farms (17%) and increased weight gain with 168 farms (16%).


Park Kyung-ae, director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory, stated, "This survey confirmed the high satisfaction with the eco-friendly beneficial microorganisms produced and supplied by the Animal Hygiene Testing Laboratory. We will continue research and development of beneficial microorganisms and conduct dedicated livestock testing to enhance quality." She added, "As there is a desire to expand the supply to livestock sites, we will strive to increase supply as much as possible and do our best to establish eco-friendly livestock farming."
