On the morning of the 26th, in front of former President Park Geun-hye's residence in Yuga-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, some supporters shouted this as Han Dong-hoon, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, arrived in an official car.

The reason why the voices supporting Chairman Han, the leader of the People Power Party, in front of former President Park's residence caught attention is that Han was the prosecutor who investigated the Park Geun-hye administration's state affairs manipulation scandal in 2016. President Yoon Seok-yeol was the head of the investigation team at that time.

Despite the bad weather with rain, people who wanted to see Chairman Han gathered in small groups in front of the residence. Some supporters even jostled for position from an hour before the scheduled visit at 11 a.m. to get closer to Chairman Han. However, possibly due to the weather, only about 50 people gathered in front of the residence.

Along with Chairman Han, Yoon Jae-ok, the floor leader of the party, attended. From former President Park's side, lawyer Yoo Young-ha was present. Lawyer Yoo is running as the People Power Party candidate for Daegu Dalseo-gap in this general election.

After about 30 minutes of the visit, Chairman Han's expression was bright, and his voice was calm. He told reporters, "I heard very good words about the overall state affairs and current issues, and about the life stories," adding, "I received many warm words and expressed my deep gratitude."

When asked by reporters why he met former President Park during the general election period, Chairman Han explained, "Last time when I visited Daegu, we had planned to meet, but the schedule did not match, so we set a date to meet as promised then."

Yoo Young-ha, the People Power Party candidate who was present at the meeting, said, "I gave Chairman Han some separate advice."

Candidate Yoo said, "I saw through the media that President Yoon Seok-yeol and Chairman Han Dong-hoon met at the West Sea Defense Memorial Ceremony," and added, "The economy is difficult now, and the country is facing many hardships. At times like this, it is very important to unite and gather consensus in times of crisis. That was the essence of the message."

He continued, "Last time, when President Yoon came to Daegu and presided over a public discussion on people's livelihood, there were many points I agreed with in his remarks. There were many hopeful messages for the region. There was a message hoping that such efforts would be well supported."

Candidate Yoo also revealed that they had an in-depth discussion regarding the issue of 'medical school quota expansion.' He said, "Former President Park also gave various remarks," and added, "Chairman Han will probably talk about that separately to the media."

This visit by Chairman Han is interpreted as an effort to secure the support of the party's core voters. It is a strategy to gather the scattered support base after the cancellation of candidate Do Tae-woo's nomination. After Daegu, Chairman Han plans to visit the areas of Buk-gu, Dong-gu, and Nam-gu in Busan, Yangsan in Gyeongnam, and Saha in Busan in the afternoon to greet candidates on the streets.
