April Flights to Jeju, Zhangjiajie and Yanji in China, Saga in Japan; May Flights to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) signed a business agreement on the 25th with Kim San, Governor of Muan County, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, Kim I-bae, CEO of Jeju Air, Park Byung-ryul, CEO of Jin Air, and Heo Ju-hee, Director of Korea Airports Corporation, to revitalize Muan International Airport.
According to the county, under the agreement, they agreed to cooperate mutually to revitalize Muan International Airport and ensure the stable operation of aircraft. From April, Jeju Air and Jin Air's domestic and international regular routes will operate from Muan International Airport.

Jeju Air will operate four flights weekly between Muan and Jeju, four flights weekly between Muan and Zhangjiajie, China, two flights weekly between Muan and Yanji, China, and three flights weekly between Muan and Saga, Japan. Jin Air will operate two flights weekly between Muan and Jeju and two flights weekly between Muan and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The county plans to actively work on expanding regular routes through this business agreement and accelerate attracting airlines by supporting 30% of the property tax paid on aircraft registered as stationary aircraft at Muan International Airport as aircraft maintenance fees.
Governor Kim San said, “I am very pleased that the Jeju route, which had been suspended, has resumed operation through this agreement,” and added, “I hope Muan International Airport will make a great leap forward beyond being a hub airport in the southwest region to becoming a gateway airport to Southeast Asia.”
