Career Mentoring for Current Students at National Mokpo Maritime University

The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim Inchang) Mokpo Metropolitan Maritime Traffic Control Center (VTS) announced on the morning of the 25th that it held a 'Visiting Career Briefing Session' for students of the National Mokpo Maritime University to secure excellent maritime police personnel and provide student career mentoring.

A total of 107 participants, including professors and students of the National Mokpo Maritime University, attended this career briefing session, which helped students understand various aspects such as knowledge, motivation, and attitude, and provided mentoring for active and progressive career planning and development.

The main topics included △Explanation of the functions and roles of each department of the Coast Guard △Purpose and importance of the Maritime Traffic Control Center △Information on the 2024 Coast Guard recruitment schedule, scale, and procedures △Introduction to the work environment and working conditions of controllers △Customized career education for career planning and development.

An official from the West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency said, “We had the opportunity to introduce the Coast Guard and the Maritime Traffic Control Center to students who will lead the future of the Republic of Korea,” adding, “We will continue proactive administration to promote the Coast Guard and secure outstanding talent.”
