Digital healthcare innovation company Soldak Co., Ltd. announced that following Nam-gu, Daegu, it will collaborate with Dalseo-gu, Daegu to establish a non-face-to-face medical infrastructure aimed at improving medical accessibility for vulnerable groups. Dalseo-gu is the most populous district in Daegu, and this cooperation involves seven local medical institutions, 14 pharmacies, and 25 day and night care centers. The initiative is intended to provide convenient and prompt medical services to elderly individuals with mobility difficulties.
Through a business agreement with Dalseo-gu, Soldak offers a non-face-to-face medical-based digital welfare service called 'BaroDolbom' for seniors aged 65 and older who have been certified for long-term care. Elderly individuals can receive medical consultations and diagnoses via video calls with doctors at day and night care centers with the assistance of nursing staff. Through Soldak’s proprietary 'BaroDolbom Codi' service, professional counselors assist with the entire process including non-face-to-face medical appointment booking, consultation, and payment of medical fees. After the consultation, prescriptions are sent to designated pharmacies, and the dispensed medications can be collected at the care centers.
Soldak CEO Hoik Lee stated, “Through cooperation with Dalseo-gu, we aim to build a digital welfare environment that integrates healthcare and advanced technology to improve medical accessibility for the elderly.” He added, “Our company provides medical institutions with a specialized solution developed in accordance with the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s revised pilot project on non-face-to-face medical care. This solution supports stable reception and reservation for both face-to-face and non-face-to-face consultations, verification of existing medical records, video consultations, online prescriptions (EMR), customer management (CRM), and electronic prescription generation, aiming to create a satisfactory non-face-to-face medical experience for both patients and medical staff.”
Additionally, Soldak has pledged various supports for this project, including specialized equipment for non-face-to-face medical care and medication collection. These supports are expected to play a pivotal role in enabling vulnerable elderly residents in Dalseo-gu to receive better medical services.
The collaboration between Soldak and Dalseo-gu is evaluated as contributing not only to providing non-face-to-face medical services but also to improving medical accessibility within the local community and creating an environment where all citizens can equally receive high-quality medical services. Soldak plans to continue its efforts to provide better medical services to medically vulnerable groups through cooperation with local communities.
Meanwhile, Soldak was highly recognized for developing advanced non-face-to-face medical specialized technology and operating innovative solutions to establish and provide a non-face-to-face medical and digital healthcare service ecosystem, contributing to the advancement of the medical industry and the promotion of public health. As a result, it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award in August 2023 and the Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation in December 2023.
