In accordance with the special marine safety and security alert, Jeju Coast Guard has designated the period since the 15th as the spring marine safety management intensive inspection period, actively strengthening marine safety management through on-site inspections led by commanders and requesting improvements in cooperation with related organizations for identified vulnerabilities.

Furthermore, continuous on-site inspections will be conducted to ensure the safety of Jeju’s seas.

A Jeju Coast Guard official stated, “As the seasons change, with adverse weather such as agricultural fog and warming temperatures, we will thoroughly prevent marine accidents by proactively identifying vulnerabilities through inspections in response to increased coastal activities and demand for multi-use vessels.”
