Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is recruiting tenants for 14 units of Dojeonsuk, rental housing for entrepreneurs, from March 29 to April 4. Dojeonsuk is a mixed-use public rental housing that allows one-person creative entrepreneurs (including prospective entrepreneurs) to solve both residential and office space needs at once.
Dojeonsuk, meaning "Lodging for Challengers," is a project operated since a business agreement was signed on November 11, 2013, between Seoul City, Seoul Housing Corporation, Seoul Regional Small and Medium Business Administration, and Seongbuk-gu. It is a demand-tailored rental housing that provides stable residential and office spaces to young entrepreneurs with weak economic foundations, helping them achieve independence and growth.
This recruitment for the first half of the year offers a total of 14 units, including 12 single-person units and 2 couple units. Dojeonsuk is relatively affordable compared to general housing rental prices, which is expected to reduce the initial financial burden on one-person creative entrepreneurs (including prospective entrepreneurs) who are struggling due to rising housing costs.
In addition to providing office space, Dojeonsuk supports tenant companies with various programs such as entrepreneurship capacity-building education, networking among tenant companies, and linkage with public institution projects, contributing to youth job creation and regional economic revitalization.
