Endurance Race Using Hankook Tires to Be Held in Europe on the 22nd

Hankook Tire & Technology announced that the first European race of this season's 24H Series, the world's largest endurance racing event for which it is the exclusive supplier of racing tires, the Korea 12 Hours Mugello, will be held in Italy for three days starting on the 22nd (local time).

Since 2015, the company has been the official title sponsor of the 24H Series, exclusively supplying high-performance racing tires optimized for endurance racing. All participating vehicles are equipped with Hankook Tire's Ventus racing tires. The event is officially named "24H Series Powered by Hankook" in all races.

This race will take place at the Mugello Circuit in Tuscany. It is a 5.25 km circuit featuring 14 curves. The company explained that it is considered one of the three major circuits in Italy, along with Monza and Imola. The track is characterized by significant elevation changes and rollercoaster sections with repeated downhill and uphill stretches. Tire durability, handling, and grip are crucial.

Hankook Tire expects that the newly introduced 4th generation "Ventus F200" for the 2024 season will support optimal race performance with excellent racing tire capabilities even under extreme driving conditions. The new "Ventus F200" applies the latest racing compounds, improving tire performance compared to the 3rd generation model, while reducing weight by about 10%.

The 24H Series features participants such as Porsche, Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Audi, and McLaren. This season's European races will be held over five rounds until September, starting with this event and continuing in Belgium, Portugal, Italy, and Spain.
