Hanjin KAL subsidiary Korean Air announced on the 21st that it has decided on a new facility investment to purchase 33 new aircraft for 18.466 trillion KRW. The newly purchased aircraft include 27 A350-1000s and 6 A350-900s. The investment amount is 188.14% of the previous year's equity capital.
The company explained, "This is for the purpose of strengthening competitiveness on medium- to long-haul routes through replacement of aging aircraft and introduction of next-generation medium- to large-sized passenger aircraft according to our long-term fleet plan."
