Chosun University and Gwangju Tourism Organization Lead the Local Era MOU

Chosun University announced on the 21st that it signed a business agreement with Gwangju Tourism Organization at the main building to lead the local era through innovation, sharing, and coexistence.

The signing ceremony was attended by Chosun University President Kim Chun-sung, Vice President Jeon Je-yeol, Director of External Cooperation Kim Hyun-woo, as well as Gwangju Tourism Organization President Kim Jin-gang and Director Park Jun-young.


Both institutions agreed to establish a mutually organic cooperation system to promote mutual growth and lead a sustainable local era.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ promotion of collaborative projects under the Regional Innovation-centered University Support System (RISE) ▲ activation of regional development-linked cooperation for the promotion of Glocal University 30 ▲ activation of customized education and research cooperation tailored to local industry-academia-research-government needs ▲ education for employment and entrepreneurship, job creation, and improvement of conditions for regional settlement ▲ discovery and promotion of business-linked cooperative programs ▲ cultivation of practical talents through on-site education and training in the tourism and MICE industries.


Kim Jin-gang, President of Gwangju Tourism Organization, said, "I am grateful to be able to step in sync with Chosun University, a leading prestigious private university in the region," adding, "We will actively participate in and support collaboration with Chosun University and lead regional development through this."


Kim Chun-sung, President of Chosun University, stated, "As the role and spectrum of universities are expanding, there are many limitations when a university acts alone," and added, "We will achieve new changes and development through cooperation with Gwangju Tourism Organization."
