[Click eStock] "Woojin, Expected to Benefit from Pro-Nuclear Power Policy"

KB Securities analyzed on the 20th that Woojin is a company expected to benefit under the domestic pro-nuclear power policy. No investment opinion or target price was presented.

Hanje-yoon, a researcher at KB Securities, said, "Woojin is a company that is certain to benefit under the domestic pro-nuclear power policy" and added, "because it exclusively supplies all the instruments used in Korean-type reactors."

He continued, "Delivery has been made to Saeul Units 3 and 4, which are nearing completion, and delivery is expected for Shinhanul Units 3 and 4, which are scheduled to be ordered within this year."

He explained, "The government has already set a goal to expand power supply through nuclear power in the 10th Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand. If the proportion of nuclear power generation is further increased in the 11th plan, it is noteworthy that this is likely to lead to the emergence of new nuclear power projects."

He said, "A global pro-nuclear trend is also forming. Poland's new nuclear power order in 2022 was a signal," adding, "since then, several European countries such as the Czech Republic, Bolivia, and Finland are considering nuclear power orders." He added, "In the Middle East, where electricity demand is expected to increase sharply, positive signals regarding new nuclear power plants are also being shown."
