Coupang Play is raising anticipation for the official MLB regular season opening game by successfully presenting four special games of the 'MLB World Tour Seoul Series 2024.'

On the 19th, Coupang Play announced that it will broadcast the two-game regular season opening series of the 'MLB World Tour Seoul Series 2024 (hereafter Seoul Series)' on the 20th and 21st. In the opening two-game series, the San Diego Padres will face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The first game of the opening on the 20th will begin at 7:05 PM.

Coupang Play, as the presenting partner, marketing partner, and official broadcaster of the Seoul Series, is broadcasting all games and providing full videos and highlight clips immediately after each broadcast.

In the first game of the opening, Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow and Padres' Yu Darvish will be the starting pitchers, while in the second game, Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Padres' Joe Musgrove will take the mound. The MLB regular season opening game, held for the first time in Korean history, will be broadcast worldwide. To celebrate the opening, K-pop girl groups (G)I-DLE and aespa will perform opening acts.

For the preview show of the first game on the 20th, Park Chan-ho, the first-generation Korean MLB player who played for both teams, will appear as a special guest to share his experiences and behind-the-scenes stories from his debut in 1994. On the 21st, Kim Byung-hyun will join as a guest to participate in player interviews and analyze key points of the game. The preview show will start at 5:30 PM on each day, 1 hour and 30 minutes before the game.

Coupang has already successfully completed four special games of the Seoul Series held over two days on the 17th and 18th. Shohei Ohtani stepped up to the plate at Gocheok Sky Dome for the first time wearing a Dodgers uniform, and Kim Ha-seong set foot in his home stadium for the first time in four years since transferring to the Padres.
