Employee Salaries Higher Than Samsung Electronics

Choi Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, received an annual salary of 2.5 billion KRW from SK Hynix last year.

According to the business report disclosed by SK Hynix on the 19th, Chairman Choi received 2.5 billion KRW in salary last year. SK Hynix explained, "Considering the position (chairman), leadership, expertise, and contribution to the company comprehensively, the base annual salary was set at a total of 2.5 billion KRW, and 208 million KRW was paid monthly."

Chairman Choi receives compensation from both SK Hynix and SK Inc.

Vice Chairman and CEO Park Jung-ho received a total compensation of 3.838 billion KRW, including a salary of 2.3 billion KRW and a bonus of 1.54 billion KRW. President and CEO Kwak No-jung received 1.1 billion KRW in salary and 768 million KRW in bonuses, totaling 1.877 billion KRW.

The highest-paid person at SK Hynix was Management Advisory Committee member Park Sung-wook. Including 3.608 billion KRW in stock option exercise gains, he received a total of 4.598 billion KRW.

The average salary per SK Hynix employee was 121 million KRW, a 9.59% decrease compared to the previous year (133.85 million KRW). Male employees earned an average of 130 million KRW, while female employees earned 103 million KRW.

This year, the average salary of SK Hynix employees was higher than that of Samsung Electronics (120 million KRW).

The total number of SK Hynix employees was 32,065, with an average length of service of 12.7 years. Female employees had an average tenure of 14.8 years, which was 3.2 years longer than that of male employees (11.6 years).
