Gukminui Mirae Holds High-Level Meeting and Passes Resolution
The satellite party of the People Power Party, Kukminui Mirae, canceled the nomination of former Secretary Lee Si-woo of the Prime Minister's Office, who had been assigned as number 17 on the proportional representation list for the April 10 general election, on the 19th.
Kukminui Mirae announced that it held an executive meeting that day and decided to cancel the recommendation of candidate Lee.

Earlier, it was revealed belatedly that former Secretary Lee had been demoted from a Grade 4 secretary to a Grade 5 administrative officer last year due to allegations of 'golf entertainment,' causing controversy. The cancellation of the nomination appears to be related to a reassessment conducted in connection with these allegations.
Regarding this, the People Power Party had hinted at the possibility of reconsidering proportional candidates. Jang Dong-hyuk, Secretary-General of the People Power Party, said at a press briefing that morning, "The Kukminui Mirae nomination committee will review whether there are any aspects that need to be looked at differently regarding that matter," adding, "I don't think one incident can define a person's entire life, but we will examine what kind of issue it is, how serious it is, and whether there is room to reconsider various circumstances."
